Systems Being Replaced by Workday
Since the University first started using Banner in 1992, additional software was "bolted" on to Banner over time in order to increase Banner's functionality. With Workday, employees will begin using one system instead of several that are used today-- streamlining and simplifying the user experience.
While not exhaustive, the below graphic illustrates the systems whose functionality will and will not be replaced by Workday.
Please note, while Workday will replace Banner as the University's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Banner will remain in use as the University's Student Information System (SIS). The University currently utilizes Banner SIS for functionalities related to each student’s academic journey such as course registration, grades and progress toward degree, billing, and academic records.
