What We’re Most Excited About

"Workday is set to revolutionize our payroll processes in ways that weren’t possible with Banner. For example, we are moving from manually keying in 40-50 paper timesheets each pay period to a system that handles missed deadlines automatically. The ability to request time off in advance in Workday will also be a huge improvement. We’re thrilled about the increased efficiency, reduced manual work, and the convenience of the mobile app for time entry that will benefit the entire UR community."

--Sharon Condrey, Payroll Lead

Key Improvements

  • Automated Deadline Management: Reduction in manual paper timesheet processing
  • Flexible Corrections: Ability to reopen old pay periods for adjustments
  • Mobile Accessibility: Convenient time entry and management via smartphone
  • Enhanced Manager Dashboards: Direct access to employee time and absence information
  • Integrated Absence Information: Vacation and sick time visible on paystubs

 Our Progress

  • Collaborating across departments to align terminology and processes
  • Conducted parallel payroll tests to ensure accuracy
  • Developing new time-tracking solutions for employees in Facilities, Dining, and URPD

As we transition to Workday, employees can expect:
