Training is now available on the Workday website. Training offerings include live sessions (in person or Zoom) or pre-recorded videos accessible for self-paced learning.
All employees are highly encouraged to attend one of the four Workday Essentials courses, which provide foundational knowledge for using the new system: (1) Workday Essentials for Staff, (2) Workday Essentials for Faculty, (3) Workday Essentials for Managers, and (4) Workday Essentials for Student Employees.
Additional training opportunities include three expanded learning courses for employees with specific responsiblities: (1) Workday for Hiring Managers, (2) Workday for Managers of Student Employees, and (3) Workday Finance Fundamentals for employees who make purchases as part of their job. Role-based training is also available for timekeepers, cost center managers, procurement specialists, and human resource specialists.
In addition to in-person and virtual training courses, resources include open labs for specific questions, printable job aids that provide step-by-step instructions for more than 50 tasks, and videos that provide guidance through specific procedures.
