Reminder: Finance Cutover date -- October 28
October 28th marks an important deadline in our transition from Banner to Workday. The project team will capture a snapshot of Banner for FY25 and all financial transactions must be accurately recorded and approved by this date. Reimbursements for business transactions and P-Card transactions through September 30th must be approved in ChromeRiver by then. After October 28th no retroactive financial entities or changes can occur in Banner including as follows:
- No data structure changes will be made in Banner (e.g., index requestsor FOAPAL elements) -- with the exceptions of new grants, gifts, and endowments.
- No new vendors or changes to existing vendors in Banner. New vendors will be set up in Workday in January.
- No changes to employee direct deposits and Form W-4 via Banner Web Employee self-service.
- No new P-Cards will be issued (lost or stolen cards will be replaced, if necessary).
During the period from October 28th through December 31st fiscal transactions must be limited and kept current. Purchases must be necessary for this time period and anything that can wait until 1/1 should wait. Timesheets and Leave Reports must be submitted and approved on time, including student employee timesheets. All necessary fiscal transactions must be processed and approved immediately.
Please note that many financial activities will continue without interruption through the cutover period:
- P-Cards: Continue use for small and necessary purchases
- Reimbursements: Continue in ChromeRiver until mid-December
- Deposits: Updated daily in Banner until mid-December
- Timekeeping: Continue in Banner through December
- Existing vendors: Will continue to be paid. Invoices and payments must be processed immediately.
