Workday: Streamlining Systems

Once implemented, Workday will streamline many of the tools we currently find scattered across various platforms into one user-friendly interface.

In January 2025, the following systems will be replaced by Workday:

  • ChromeRiver (travel and expense reimbursement, pcard reconciliation)
  • Cornerstone Recruiting (where candidates apply for jobs and hiring managers review applicants)
  • Cornerstone Learning (where employees complete online training)
  • Banner Student Employment (where student employees enter their timesheets)

Later, in July 2025, Workday will also replace: Cornerstone: TalentWeb and UR Engaged (where staff employees enter their annual goals and complete manager check-ins and performance reviews).

With Workday, you'll experience simplified processes and more convenience:

  • Automated processes will replace cumbersome PAFs (Personnel Action Forms) and paper forms
  • Approval pathways will be visible, and users will see the status of a particular business process
  • Work details will live in a single system, accessible from anywhere on any device
  • Time-off requests will be visible on a personalized calendar within Workday

For managers leading teams, Workday will simplify HR-related tasks, time approvals, and budget management, making manager responsibilities more streamlined.
